Stitching...

So lovely to be able to show some special show and tell from last week, Doreen came along to stitching last week wearing this amazing crocheted necklace that came from Melbourne. A few of us might just need one of these!

Jayne brought along this gorgeous pin cushion she made from an Anni Downs kit!
Brenda has just finished this wonderful Doctor Who quilt for her neice. Isn't she lucky? Great work Brenda.
 Even the back is wonderful.
I had a lovely Friday at home and a quiet Saturday last week and it is so nice to get a few things done! I managed to piece 2 more blocks of The story of my Day quilt.

My very slow work in progress had the last few windows embroidered. Only block 6 to go and then the outer borders.
A nice easy block done for the Splendid Sampler.
I ad already appliqued and embroidered my chooks so it was nice to piece the block for Anderson's Farm.

Finally, I dragged out another 2 blocks of Scandinavian Rse and pieced them together. Luckily, I had lots of little squares already cut for the piecing!
It was so good to get a few of these things done as June is almost here!

Stitching and grandies

So exciting to see Colleen's finished cushion yesterday at work. It looks wonderful and the stitching is just beautiful.

I have been continuing to keep up (just) with the Splendid Sampler blocks. Here are the latest ones. The dress block was quite a tricky foundation piecing effort!

Loved the foundation piecing on this one as it is all one piece!
I managed to stitch my last block (I think) for The Story of my Day quilt. I drew this one up to replace one of the 'pets' blocks as we don't have any!
I am a bit slow this month with Foxley Village but have done some of the applique.
I received a lovely gift from the kids for mother's day! Lyndal stitched these cute drawings for me and they were drawn by Benny and Sammy!
Can't stop without a few recent pictures of the little ones.

Gorgeous quilt and some stitching

Yesterday, Paddy brought in this amazing quilt she has made. It is a Helen Stubbings design that Hobbysew sold a while ago as a BOM. It is so beautiful and Paddy has made it for a special friend's 70th birthday. What a wonderful gift. It has been beautifully, professionally quilted.

I have been stitching a little trying to keep up with all my ongoing projects. I am also trying to tidy my sewing room and TRYING to sort a few things ready for some new cupboards in the near future, It is giving me nightmares as I keep thinking it won't all fit back into the room!!!! In theory there should be more storage. I drew up a "coffee time" block for The story of my day quilt as I had to replace another animal block!
The Splendid Sampler is certainly keeping me on my toes. The machine is block 27 and the dresden plate is number 26.

Here are my appliqued chooks for Anderson's farm.

Stitching fun

It was lovely to catch up with Rose and Sue last Tuesday night for a delicious dinner. So good to catch up with stitching friends.
On Wednesday, Barbara brought along this amazing fabric book that she has designed and made for her little grandson, Angus. What a lovely gift! Each page has things to undo.

I have been trying as always to keep up with my many projects! Here is the 25th Splendid Sampler block. Haven't started the last 2 so I had best get going!
I have been slowly working on my blocks from The story of my day and here are a few more. I think I have only one more to stitch!

My other very slow project is getting there. I am just embroidering around the windows and adding the details!

The email went out over the weekend for the Stitching on the Lake days on 23 and 30 July. If you missed out then email me and I will send you one.
