Some sewing and family

June is alnost over and there have been a few achievements this month. I have finally hand quilted and bound my Around Town quilt. This is a lovely pattern by Anni Downs and it is completely hand stitched. Nice to see a finish.

I have also finished knitting my Timely cardigan and have so enjoyed it. I love that blocking it made it fit well.
So I couldn't resist starting something new. This is Anni Downs' quilt from her Quiltmania book, called My Garden in Spring. It is called something different in the book. I bought a kit several years ago and am now enjoying the process.
Roni dazzled us again at stitching with her gorgeous quilt and her cross stitch trees!!!

Finally, a few family pictures. The miss heading off to camp this term and one of her walking Alfie. The boys and family headed to Bali last week for a wonderful time with good friends.

Retreat and stitching

Four of us went to Mittagong to the Berrima Patchwork retreat. It was a lovely time of some stitching, lots of chatting and enjoying each others company.

We also had a wander to Mittagong and visited this lovely patchwork shop, Thread Botanica, and some lovely gift shops too.

There have been some lovely finishes over the last few weeks. Beth has finished her Santa hanging and it looks so good.
Jayne has been very busy and stitched this gorgeous cross stitch and the delightful pouch below from a kit she bought at Craft Alive recently.

Roni has also put together this gorgeous cushion!

Knitting etc

I have been obsessed with knitting my cardigan over the last few weeks and have really enjoyed the process. Here it is blocking.

I also popped into the sewing room and made up these little cross stitch projects.

Roni shared this amazing little box with us last Wednesday. Tiny tiny stitches!!!
This little miss turns 10 tomorrow! If you look closely she has pierced ears and a new outfit!
And a few of Mr Jack in Perth. He and mum went on a camp with the other year 3 families and they had a great time caving and climbing!

And the little man in new pyjamas!
