This and that

May is almost gone and today really feels like winter with the rain and chilly weather. Good stitching weather....or knitting. I am having the best time knitting the Timely cardigan. Doesn't look too good in the photo but it is coming together.

Last week we hosted a biggest morning tea on Thursday and raised almost $4000. It was a lovely event with 3 tables laden with goodies.
Some lovely show and tell from Wednesday afternoon. Roni has finished this purse, some cute pears and a cross stitch picture!

Beth showed us this beautiful woven purse she was given as a gift.
Anita has also finished this lovely stitching bag! A great pattern by Natalie Bird.
This is the golf course recently on a misty morning.

Finally, one mad boy swimming in his new pool even though the water is freezing and the miss with a new haircut.

Craft Show and family

Last Friday, a few of us headed to Craftalive in Canberra. It was a nice show and Canberra quilters had their quilt show as well. Here are a few of the quilts.

Our little Canberra family, and Alfie too, enjoyed a weekend camping last weekend north of Sydney. They had a lovely time.

Just one picture of the Perth family. Sam having fun with a friend recently.

Galleries

On Friday, a few of us went to see the wonderful potraits by Ralph Heimans at the Portrait Gallery. They are amazing and we especially liked the backgrounds which set the scene so well.

We then walked over to the National Gallery to look at the very special quilt exhibition. It was wonderful to see the Rajah quilt again.

Perth

Two weeks ago we flew to Perth to visit the family. So special to see their home and school and to spend some precious time with them. We saw a bit of Perth too on a walking tour on Wednesday and enjoyed a concert in the Cathedral. We also managed to see the boys' school and them playing sport etc. On Friday we went to the assembly and saw Benny playing in the band.

We also visited the closest beach to them.

On Monday we headed to Margaret River and visited the Karri forest and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse which was very interesting. We also went to Busselton, Dunsborough and a winery too.

When we returned to Perth we watched the boys play soccer and on Friday, Amy and I went to High tea in a very high (33 storeys high) restaurant, which was fun.
