Floriade
It is Floriade time in Canberra now and I have been twice over the last few weeks. The first time there were hardly any tulips but last week, quite a few have come out. We enjoyed seeing them with Alice and her mummy on Tuesday. We even went on the ferris wheel!

Finishes
Finally a few finishes to share. I sent this quilt off to Robyn recently. It was stitched from about 2008 when I bought it as a block of the month. It was for an eventual grandchild. Little miss Alice will use it when she gets a big bed. It was great fun to make but I didn't get round to adding borders till this year!
I was also pleased to finish my knitted cardigan.
I got a little prepared for Christmas and stitched some more of these lovely felt decorations using patterns by Marg Low. They are such fun to make.Saturday, September 16, 2017
Gorgeous sewing and some outings
It was inspiring at sewing on Wednesday as Lynne came to class with some wonderful finishes. Here is her gorgeous bag ready to use.
We all especially loved this amazing pin cushion!
Lynne has also made up this beautiful cushion.
On Friday I visited the Embroiderer's guild exhibition. Sadly you are not allowed to take photos and put them on blogs but there were some lovely handmade items there. I have just sneaked in my favourite project which was a kit bought in Paris and beautifully stitched by Lorna Loveland.

This morning Alice, Mummy and I visited the Handmade market in Canberra. There were some beautiful things there.....gorgeous clothing, jewelry and much more. It was all very tempting.

Lovely time with friends
It was so special to catch up with Fiona, Rose and Sue this past weekend for some stitching and of course, too much food! It has been ages since we have been together so it was very special. Thanks to Fiona and Rose for coming to chilly Canberra and thanks to Sue for hosting such a lovely day.
In the evening we headed to a local restaurant for a yummy meal.
Then on Sunday morning we met for breakfast at the Kingston Foreshore and then had a great time at the Bus Depot Markets. There was just a little bit of shopping!
We were all spoilt by Fiona for our birthdays. She has made some gorgeous canvas work projects lately.
I made a little pin cushion for Rose's special birthday using an Anni Downs' pattern.
I did make this little pear for Fiona as well.
Thanks, girls, for a great time.
