Christmas

We enjoyed our Christmas celebrations very much. All the prep was tiring but worth the effort to see the happy children on Christmas eve and day. This year we did afternoon tea and easy dinner on Christmas eve and then had a special meal in the evening on Christmas day. It was lovely to have Ma with us this time.

The weather was lovely and the pool was very popular as was sitting in the shade outside.

A few more celebrations

Well, Christmas is over for another year. Before I share our celebrations, here is a catch up of last week. On Monday evening, the Friday night girls had dinner out and enjoyed such a nice time. Great food and great company.

We exchanged Secret Santa Gifts and I received this amazing cross stitch and pin cushion from Audrey. All the gifts were lovely though I didn't get pictures of them all.

Om Wednesday morning, we had morning tea at Adrienne's house. It looked so beautiful and we felt very festive and enjoyed some delicious food too.

We also had stitching at Beth's in the afternoon and it was a delight as always. I loved these watermelon trees!!
Love this decoration of Beth's about isewlation!
Roni stunned us again by using one of Beth's cute serviettes to make a place mat! Just amazing. She had also cross stitched the cute Santa decoration too.

Paddy has had her The Santa, the Tree....quilt professionally quilted and it looks amazing. She also had Seaside town quilted as well. So wonderfully quilted by Terina.

I covet these hanging starts at Beth's. How good do they look?

Celebrations

It has been a lovely week of parties! On top of that I had a Covid booster shot which made me very tired and a bit achey yeaterday. The first celebration was for the Wednesday afternoon girls. There was yummy food and some gorgeous Secret Santa gifts.

I received this beautiful apron and decoration made by Jayne. There was special stitching on the apron to remind me of our group and the year.

This was what I made and bought this time.
Roni made us all this lovely pear decoration using wood from the cottage she has been renovating. She also made this cushion from an old t-shirt! You really are inspiring Roni.

In the evening, we had a lovely time at Margaret's house again with wonderful food and amazing Secret Santa gifts.

I received this wonderful bag from Barbara.

This is what I made and bought this year.
Then on Thursday I hosted my Bible study group lunch. We had a lovely time celebrating. There was delicious food and lots of chat!
