Weekend away

Last weekend the Thursday Study group headed to the coast for our annual weekend retreat. We enjoyed delicious food, company and lots of chat. Some of us stitched and knitted and some enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. Some braved the chilly water and enjoyed a swim. Some went on long walks....not me as I am a bit lazy. Caroline gave us a fabulous demonstration of making foccacia. It was delicious. We started the weekend with delicious morning tea in Braidwood.

We had a special afternoon for the bride to be, Wendy, with a funny stripper skit, some games
 and yummy afternoon tea.

We finished the weekend with gallettes in Braidwood. Very delicious.

Stitching progress

I finally put together my Adeline and Remy quilt from our stitching cruise last year. Feels good to have a top completed. I also made a backing too. It will be ready for quilting soon. I put some quilts in last week to be tacked and quilted and plan to put more in this week. It will be nice to see them finished.

Roni brought along her gorgeous rabbit cushion recently. How cute is that rabbit?

Margaret has also been busy and has used lots of her French General scraps to make this great quilt.
She also made this delightful zippered pouch!

March is here

My goodness, February just flew by! I have been stitching but don't have a lot to show. My Anni Downs' quilt is up to lots of patchwork squares! The centre is all appliqued now. I have also been cross stitching and have blocked a scarf that I knitted last October.

My favourite finish is this hexi pouch using a lovely set of precut blue hexagons.

A few weeks ago Lyndal and I went to the Pompei exhibition at the National Museum. It was very good though there were a lot of people there.

Finally some lovely show and tell from Margaret who comes to Wednesday night stitching. This is a gorgeous zippered pouch designed by Helen Stubbings.
