Flowers

The Thursday group had a lovely lunch and wander around Tulip Top Gardens last week. It was such a delight.

Then on Saturday, with lots of other people, we went into Floriade. It was perfect weather and the flowers were so bright and colourful.

Stitching updates

Lovely to see some delightful show and tell at stitching over the last few weeks. Beth has finished her gorgeous kit from the UK. It is so beautiful.

Roni has made this magnificent stocking!!!
The evening girls had lovely quilts to show us!

I have been busy too. I made a little purse for a friend's 70th birthday recently.

I have had great fun knitting a couple of sea glass beanies! So great to use up your woolly scraps. I have also been busy knitting a cardigan for my daughter. I have had to learn lots of new things and will share it soon.
I am also enjoying a bit of foundation piecing on these little trees to frame these lovely Natalie Bird stitcheries, which were stitched a while ago.

Weekend away

Recently we went up to Sydney to celebrate Paul's 70th birthday. We enjoyed a lovely day together with lunch first at Como. We then went back to Ma's for cake.

On Sunday, Janelle, Ma and I had an adventure and caught the new train to Castle Hill and had morning tea and a look at the shops. We then headed back to the city and then home.
On Monday we headed to Bathurst via the Botanical gardens at Mt Tomah. We had yummy morning tea and then wandered around the gardens. We stayed in Bathurst for the night and had yummy pizza for dinner.

On Tuesday we drove to Cowra and really enjoyed the Japanese gardens there. They were just gorgeous. It was lovely to see the bright yellow canola on the way home.
