Wednesday Show and Tell and a finish

Isn't this lace amazing? Barbara, who works at Hobbysew, is our machine embroidery expert and she has created this lace with her machine. Very clever.
It was our last class on Wednesday afternoon and night so it was nice to see some of the projects that the ladies have finished. Rhonda has finished two of the stitched Santas. Well done Rhonda. They look great.
Rhonda also had a go at foundation piecing and has finished her Christmas tree. Great choice of colours.
I have finally finished this bag that I started ages ago! I did the punch needle last year and it has been floating around the sewing room waiting for me to finish it off. I had last Friday at home so used it to get a bit of sewing done. I even covered the button. Haven't done one of those for years but it was so easy, I will do it again! This bag is a pattern by Lynette Anderson and was featured in an excellent DVD created by Homespun about Punch needle.

Hi, Love your blog- I also made this bag a while back-went to take it to my mothers for 'show & tell', only to discover, my then, 4 year old, had snipped at it with the scissors! Luckily I could fix it...but was soo disappointed! Lisa
