Last week, Ma, Bruce and I went on an 8 day cruise to Tasmania. We had a lovely time. We shared a cabin with a balcony which was nice and enjoyed being spoilt and of course eating lots of delicious food. Here is Ma heading to the ship and a few of the sailway.
The ship was very nicely decorated for Christmas with trees everywhere. This was a fruit carving demonstration but shows some of the greenery in the atrium. They also organised carol singing and a Christmas concert.
Our first stop was in Melbourne. Ma's friend from a previous cruise, Gilda, came and picked us up and took us in on the tram to the Art Gallery. She also organised a wonderful tour of the gallery. We all enjoyed it very much.
It was a very hot day so we didn't stay in town for long. I had a quick vist to Morris and Sons and L'uccello. The next morning we headed into Melbourne again for a wander around the park. We then headed towards Tasmania and enjoyed some lovely scenic cruising.
We then arrived in Port Arthur. We had a lovely day there.
Our next stop was Hobart. We hired a car and headed to the Tahune Airwalk. We enjoyed another great day here. The weather was perfect too. On the way we enjoyed a delicious coffee and I had a quick look into this wool shop.
We then sailed for Sydney enjoying yummy meals. The sail in was early but just lovely.
We had such a relaxing time. Now I had best get ready for Christmas!
