Cruising....

We returned home on Tuesday night after a bit more than 2 weeks cruising to New Guinea on the Maasdam. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed too much good food, some amazing swims and enjoyed seeing a different culture. We sailed from Sydney on Saturday 16th November and we left from Circular Quay.

It was lovely to share this experience with our friends, Annemarie and Garrick.

On Monday 18th November we arrived in Brisbane. We caught the ferry into town and enjoyed seeing South bank. Bruce and I went to the museum to see Mephisto, a German tank from WW1.

We went over the river and had a wander in the shopping precinct. This arcade was so beautifully decorated for Christmas.

On Tuesday we were in Gladstone, which is a huge industrial harbour. We girls enjoyed looking at the market stalls and we all enjoyed an iced chocolate or coffee as it was fairly hot.

On the 21st and 22nd we were at sea. Excellent relaxing time and I did enjoy reading some books. Bruce managed to take these amazing photos of birds.

On Friday 22nd we arrived in Alotau, Papua New Guinea. I will continue with that adventure next time.
