Parties

It has been a wonderful week of parties and celebrations this week. Sadly I didn't take many photos of several of them! I was too busy enjoying myself! The first 2 were held at Hobbysew and were with my 2 classes. Thank you, ladies, for continuing to come each week and also for bringing some lovely food to share on Wednesday last week. I took a few photos of what the ladies have been making. Jayne made this lovely little mat using a free pattern from Gail Pan.
Lynne is hooked on canvas work and created this great scissor keeper. This is one side and below is the other.

Roni came on Wednesday wearing this wonderful necklace! I so want one of these.
We had a wonderful time in the evening class too with bubbles and supper and Secret Santa too. Sadly I missed out on taking photos of the wonderful gifts except for my lovely one. Thanks Jenny, for this great pouch and fabrics.
Then on Thursday I partied on with an amazing lunch. So lovely to share good times with these lovely ladies.....and with Marion's large but very friendly dog!

Once again the food was great.
Then on Friday we headed to Donna's beautifully decorated house for Christmas high tea. It was amazing. Thanks so much for hosting it Donna.

We then celebrated with family yesterday but that will have to wait for another post!

Christmas preparations

Where did the last week go! There were some lovely parties and some decorating and a little baking and stitching. Before I share some of those, I need to show you this picture of Jayne. She won Hobbysew's Tilda competition, T is for..... Jayne made this gorgeous hanging with the lovely Tilda fabrics provided. Congratulations, Jayne.
I also received a lovely gift from Linda last week. I have used this mug already several times!
I needed to make the little men some Christmas t-shirts.

Some shortbread was baked to take to parties this week.
I will leave you with a few pictures of Christmas at our house. As you can tell, I love making Christmas decorations.

Little Jacky's birthday

Our little man, Jack, turned one last week. How time flies. He loved his party! His brothers and cousin loved it too.

Inspiring...

So inspiring to see what the class ladies have been making over the last few weeks. Roni has been very busy and has made this wonderful bag by using a gorgeous pattern by Anni Downs, found in the book, The Simple Life.

She has also finished this lovely canvas work decoration from the last Christmas stitching day.

We really loved this cross stitch too. Just look at the tiny stitches used to make the little gifts and the reindeers.

Lynda has been busy too and has made this lovely pin cushion for a gift.
Lynne has continued her gorgeous stitching and has made up all these little cushions for gifts!

Great to see Sally back at stitching on Wednesday night and especially to see her 12 Days of Christmas hanger! Just ready to hang up this year.

Margaret has also finished this delightful hanging from a pattern my Marg Low and using beautiful buttons by Theodora Cleve.
Paddy also brought along this amazing tea cosy she received for her birthday recently.
