Holiday stitching

Even though I am not away on holidays, there are less things on so there is a bit more time for stitching. I am enjoying the daily stitching on Stitch Therapy 365. Here are my last few blocks.

I have also been working on Here, There and Everywhere too. Just need to make the map for this block.

 My other project has been to work on this stitchery. Lots of fun stitching on this one. It is one of the Artists Series from Thread Folk.

 This cross stitch became a decoration after Christmas.....ready for next Christmas.

 I also received this lovely gift from Paddy. Thank you so much for my gorgeous decorations and the delicious fruit.

 We had stitching on Wednesday so it was lovely to catch up with everyone again. Lynne came in to show us this amazing cross stitch!

 Roni has also made this delightful decoration!

I finally put the decorations away. I do love them but putting them up and away are big jobs!

Happy New Year

Happy new year everyone. Thank you again for continuing to visit my blog. I still enjoy posting and plan to continue. This blog is a bit like a diary of daily doings and especially stitching progress and I do enjoy looking back at the posts and remembering holidays, family doings and stitching, of course. It is very hot here this week and we are very thankful for cooling. I have begun my new year's project. I signed up for Helen Stubbings' Stitch Therapy 365 which is one stitchery per day all year! Here are the first 2.

 I did manage to finish part 7 of Here, There and Everywhere recently and am now working on part 8.

 I started this cross stitch way before Christmas but got back into it recently. Of course it needs making into something!

These little decorations were made as gifts before Christmas. They are from a Marg Low pattern.

Christmas

Finally, after all the other celebrations, Christmas came. We celebrated with our family and it was also special to have Ma here to share in our Christmas this year. On Sunday we enjoyed afternoon tea here with the extended family and Ma and the kids especially enjoyed the pool. I didn't get any photos at all! I also didn't get any on Christmas eve but we had a nice meal and Ma joined our little family for this time. On Christmas day we went to church and the service, especially the music was lovely. We then had a more relaxed meal with just our family and and gifts, of course. We did get a few family shots this time!

Stitching

I have finally finished my bits of Christmas stitching. I also wanted to make some appliqued tshirts for the little people. Alice is mad about unicorns.

 The boys are into Pokemon so here are theirs.

 I just chose some cute ones for Jack. I made the hungry caterpillar for one of the older boys a while ago and he was fun to do again.

There was also lovely show and tell at afternoon stitching on Wednesday. Lynda has made this great pouch. Love the lining!

 Lynda and Jayne both made these great hats for gifts as well. Jayne added a name label and made a cute bag to match.

And this came in the mail this week. It is Helen Stubbings' Stitch Therapy 365 project with the stitcheries all printed on. Can't wait to start on the 1st January.

Partying...

On Wednesday evening we had the party for the evening class. We enjoyed delicious food and it was fun to relax together and enjoy the good company. I didn't take many pictures but did capture some of the secret Santa gifts. We were all so spoilt.

 Aren't they all amazing! I was extra lucky and received the traditional zippered pouch from Deanna. Someone gets it each year and I was the lucky one this time!

 My gift was bought this time but was handmade . It was this cross stitch below made into a hanger but I forgot to take a picture of it. I have stitched one for me.

 On Thursday, we had another lovely party here with the study group girls. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch but the desserts were the best!
