Wonderful weekend away

We had a lovely weekend in Victoria and especially enjoyed the lovely Millrose accommodation, the fantastic quilt shop and the cafe that provided our dinner and breakfast. Great food, company and some fabric shopping certainly makes for a very special weekend. On Friday we flew to Melbourne, picked up the car and headed first to Kyneton and then on the Castlemaine and ending in Ballan at our B&B. This is such a lovely area and it would be nice to explore it even more.
Threadbear Patchwork is a lovely shop with amazing reproduction fabrics and some wonderful quilts on the walls.

This gorgeous tart was enjoyed at afternoon tea!
This is our home for the weekend. What an amazing place for 10 people to gather to stitch!

Judy was hand quilting this wonderful, fully hand pieced quilt.

Here I am with the clever designer, Judy Newman. Judy also designed the Dilly bag I showed recently.
Just check out 2 of the breakfast options in the Millrose cafe.

One of the highlights of the time was this great shop just next door to the accommodation. There are so many wonderful fabrics and the most wonderful collection of Liberty fabrics too.

Judy teaches there often and here she is chatting to some of her "girls".

Here are some of us enjoying breakfast on Sunday morning.

Some had to leave a little earlier but here are the ones who were left!
