A few finishes

Lovely to show you my finished, The Santa, the tree, the turkey and me BOM by Anni Downs. It was such a fun project to stitch and I am pleased that I continued with it to the end instead of letting it be a top only!! It is hand stitched, machine pieced and hand quilted.

Roni printed out this lovely label for me!!!
I also recently crocheted this scarf to go with my quilted jacket. I have so many scarves but didn't have one in the right colour!

The Wednesday night ladies have been busy. Lynne has made these amazing zippered pouches!

Margaret had a new quilt to share with us in gorgeous French general fabrics. It is so beautiful.

The little grandies were here yesterday afternoon and they had a lovely time together....mostly! Here is the miss reading to Jack.

Progress

I have been working on all sorts of projects lately. I am still quilting my The Santa, the Tree BOM slowly. I have completed my 25 little advent bags which is good as there were so many to sew!! Here are the last three.

These stitcheries were completed last year from the Love and Hugs Facebook page. Nice to see them pieced and ready to quilt.
This is a very old project and I am not sure it is going to work. 30 years ago I knitted the fronts and back of this cardigan. I have knitted some sleeves, different pattern as they were very retro and gathered, so will be interested to see if it all goes together and works!
Margaret has completed some lovely projects over the last few weeks. I do love this little zippered pouch and the great Christmas serviette holder.

Roni has been busy making these delightful baubles!!!

Birthdays

Our dear Ma turned 90 a week ago and sadly all our celebrations had to be cancelled. This was because of Covid as she is in Sydney and also because Ma was in hospital with a bulging disc and terrible pain. She is at home now and is a little better but still has to take lots of pain killers. Some of the Sydney family were able to organise a small celebration outside the hospital.

Our big boys also turned 9 last week! Can't believe they are 9 now!!!

The boys got oodies from us and just had to give Jack one so he could be part of the gang.

Sam got this amazing helicopter for his birthday. Great fun.
These two watching a movie recently. Such a cute picture

Stitching

Even though last month looked like it was just full of family fun, I have still been doing some stitching. I have been slowly making these little Advent bags and as of today I only have two more to do!!!

Finally put together The Santa, the tree....BOM and am now slowly working on the hand quilting.
I have been also taken by the cross stitch bug again. This tiny heart is a single strand of thread over 1 thread of linen so is quite small. Once I got my eye in, I really enjoyed the process.
This little pattern was purchased years ago and it was a fun stitch. Not sure what to do with it now but that decision can wait.
