Beautiful stitching

Last week, I took some photos at class of some lovely stitching but my memory card died!!! So sad. Armed with a new one I was able to take some this week. Paddy brought in her gorgeous boro bag all finished! It looks so good and we all want to make one. It is a pattern and kit by Jane from BeBebold.

 Lynne came this week with some more amazing finishes. I love these little zippered bags.

 She also cross stitched this piece to put in the top of this box. Amazing.

 She also created a little scissor keeper to match. Here is the front and back.

 I have been stitching too. After taking my quilts to Robyn last week, I felt guilty about Nature's Journey which needed binding. It is done!

 I also made a label. Don't look too closely as I made a spelling mistake with permanent pen!

 I have stitched another little one of the United Stitches set.

 Lastly, I got inspired and started block 6 of the Yoko Saito Mystery quilt. I do love making these little houses!

Lovely show and tell

Many of the ladies brought show and tell to share at the retreat. Here are some pictures of just some of the lovely work! It was great to see what the ladies did with last year's felt projects.

 It was motivating seeing all the great stitching and patchwork being done.

I had best go and pack as I am heading to Victoria for a weekend at Millrose Cottage in Ballan. So excited!

A little stitching

The last few weeks have been busy with getting the Stitching on the lake projects completed, notes written and kits started. The first day is only two weeks away! There are still a few places if you are interested in coming. Email me for more information. Here are a few of the many kits!

Going on holidays for a few weeks has certainly made me way behind in my many projects! Here are 3 more Splendid Sampler blocks and there are a few more to do to catch up!

 It was very exciting to head to my lovely quilter's place to pick up this quilt, Nature's Journey! She has done a wonderful job of the quilting! Now to bind and add a label.

 Hard to believe that these little men turned 4 yesterday! I made them a couple of appliqued tops.

Nature's Journey quilt

There has been so much machine sewing happening here. I just had to get my top made for the Stitch-a-long blog by the end of September and here it is! It was a big job but worth it to have this quilt top ready!

Stitching

So good to see some lovely stitching on Wednesday this week. Karen has finished her amazing felt applique cushion from a pattern by Wendy Williams.

 Jan was working on this lovely embroidery.

 Marlene has finished her little foundation pieced hanging and has done a great job.

 She has also framed her cross stitch ready for Christmas.

 I have been stitching too but on some secret projects for our Stitching on the lake days coming up on 31st October and 7th October. The days are filling up but there are still places at the moment. If you are interested in coming email me. Today I thought I had best start cutting up the hundreds of little 2" squares for the borders on Nature's Journey. The top is due to be finished at the end of this month!

 I have also been stitching this lovely Hugs and Stitches design called Two French Kisses. It has been lovely stitching with the variegated Cottage Garden perle thread.

Stitching

I did manage to stitch a little while I was away. We were busy most days but there were long flights and some quieter days to stitch. I took quite a lot of prepared work but here is what I achieved. I started with some of Rosalie Dekker's United Stitches projects. They were easy to take as they were already printed on. I just needed to choose my threads.

 These two are from the Scandinavian Rose BOM and the last block is almost finished!

 This block of Nature's Journey was only completed last night and at 10pm! It needed to be finished in August so I just made it in time.
