Quilts...

 Over the last few weeks I have been busy binding some quilts. I am also slowly hand quilting my Stitch Therapy 365 quilt. Here is the Simple life all bound and labelled.

I am now binding my very old project, Fairy Kisses.

Om Wednesday night, Margaret brought her beautiful quilt to show us. It is Natalie Birds' Willlowbrook Farm BOM. It looks so lovely. Here are some sections as it was too hard to get a picture of the whole quilt.

She even used some scraps in the pieced back.

Stitching away

 I feel like the time flies and not much gets done but there are some slow projects on the go! My tree skirt is getting there slowly. I am not too motivated though I do like it. Anyway here are a few more houses. I know I will enjoy decorating it with stitching soon.

I have enjoyed this cross stitch sampler and it now has its beads. Needs a frame of course.

My quilts, 5 of them, have just come back from the quilter. Two were tacked for hand quilting and 3 were quilted all over.  So The Simple Life needed a label.

I have been binding the United Stitches quilt and it is nearly done.

I also started hand quilting the Stitch Therapy 365 quilt. This will take a while.

Jayne had made a gorgeous pin cushion recently. It is just lovely.

Still stitching

 I am still plodding along with my stitching plans. My United stitches quilt is getting sewn into rows and I do love the Tilda fabrics and how they look with the stitcheries. Here are the first three rows.

I am still enjoying the cross stitch. This is another small stocking in the making.

We have been so fortunate here to be able to catch up with people still. It has been so tough for Melbourne and so exciting that things are opening up again. I do feel for my UK friends as they lock down again!! Hope you all have lots of stitching supplies!! Great to see this lovely pin cushion that Roni finished recently.

We have had very good rain and the garden has been enjoying it very much. Here are some of the flowers that hubby has photographed.

Stitching...in the rain

 It is pouring with rain here as it is in lots of other places. Great stitching weather really and the garden loves it. Great to catch up with the afternoon girls on Wednesday. Jayne had made a gorgeous runner using Anni Downs' lovely Christmas bag pattern.

Roni has finished this amazing knitted rug! She says she isn't a knitter!!!!

I have been having fun cross stitching. It is easy to take places and a bit of fun. Nice to stitch some decorations ready for Christmas.

As I am piecing my blocks to make up my United stitches quilt, it was nice to draw up and prepare the label.

It does pay off to head into the sewing room regularly and sew a few blocks. The 16 patch blocks are done and I am now working on the easier 4 patch ones.

Stitching

 I thoroughly enjoyed stitching the latest block for The Santa..... by Anni Downs. I do love woven wool applique and stitching.

I also enjoyed a little cross stitch and my first small stocking is stitched. Of course it needs hair and charms and making up!

I decided to get out another old project to work on. This is United stitches designed by the talented Rosalie Dekker and I did enjoy stitching the preprinted blocks several years ago. I started to cut my Tilda scraps up into small squares to make these blocks. I am also doing 4 patches and larger blocks in between the stitcheries.

I have also stitched up the last two Christmas stitcheries from The Love and Hugs Christmas page.

Gorgeous gift and some stitching

Lynne came to class last week and showed me these amazing Japanese creations. Her lovely sister-in -law goes to Japan each year and bought her this zippered stitching pouch and this little purse. They are both so gorgeous.

 Lynne also made this useful bag with large hexagons!

I hve a finish too. I have been slowly stitching these houses over the last months and it was lovely to finish this great mat for Christmas. It is a Helen Stubbings pattern.

I have also finished all the blocks now for United Stitches. I will have to prepare some stitching now as these were very handy to just pick up and work on in between other projects. They come printed on too which made it easy. Not sure when I will get round to making them into a quilt.

It was very exciting to get Part 10 of Dancing Chickens and Flying Pigs this week. I just had to start!

 Another project on the go is this lovely Nancy Halverson bellpull. The hanger has been in my stash ready for a long while!
