This and that

I have managed to finish a few things over the last few weeks. I made this lovely pin cushion which was my birthday gift from my dear friend Fiona.

I also made this little purse for Janet's birthday recently.
I was very pleased to collect this quilt from Monika and to bind and label it. It was a delight to make as I love paper piecing and was a lovely sewalong with Amanda on instagram.

We also had a lovely lunch recently for our Thursday group.
Beth has also finished her gorgeous Anni Downs' bag.
Last week we had a delightful dinner out to celebrate Barbara's special birthday.

Stitching progress

I finally put together my Adeline and Remy quilt from our stitching cruise last year. Feels good to have a top completed. I also made a backing too. It will be ready for quilting soon. I put some quilts in last week to be tacked and quilted and plan to put more in this week. It will be nice to see them finished.

Roni brought along her gorgeous rabbit cushion recently. How cute is that rabbit?

Margaret has also been busy and has used lots of her French General scraps to make this great quilt.
She also made this delightful zippered pouch!

Sydney

We headed to Sydney on Tuesday to celebrate Ma's 93rd birthday. It was a lucky conincident that the Sydney craft fair was on as well. I went to Darling Harbour to the show on Wednesday morning. It was much smaller than I remembered but it was still special to see some of my favourite shops.

We then went out in the evening for a delicious meal at Lugarno Seafood with Ma. It was lovely to catch up with the family ....just missing 2 as they are away overseas.

I will finish off with some of the quilts. This first one was clever!

Some sewing and family

June is alnost over and there have been a few achievements this month. I have finally hand quilted and bound my Around Town quilt. This is a lovely pattern by Anni Downs and it is completely hand stitched. Nice to see a finish.

I have also finished knitting my Timely cardigan and have so enjoyed it. I love that blocking it made it fit well.
So I couldn't resist starting something new. This is Anni Downs' quilt from her Quiltmania book, called My Garden in Spring. It is called something different in the book. I bought a kit several years ago and am now enjoying the process.
Roni dazzled us again at stitching with her gorgeous quilt and her cross stitch trees!!!

Finally, a few family pictures. The miss heading off to camp this term and one of her walking Alfie. The boys and family headed to Bali last week for a wonderful time with good friends.
