Retreat and stitching

Four of us went to Mittagong to the Berrima Patchwork retreat. It was a lovely time of some stitching, lots of chatting and enjoying each others company.

We also had a wander to Mittagong and visited this lovely patchwork shop, Thread Botanica, and some lovely gift shops too.

There have been some lovely finishes over the last few weeks. Beth has finished her Santa hanging and it looks so good.
Jayne has been very busy and stitched this gorgeous cross stitch and the delightful pouch below from a kit she bought at Craft Alive recently.

Roni has also put together this gorgeous cushion!

Stitching and family

I have been doing a little stitching.I seem to be a little unmotivated but am enjoying working on some smaller projects. I have been doing a bit of cross stitch.

I also used some leftover fabric to make a bag for the Wool winding swift. Works much better than the box.
Lovely to see Roni's gorgeous show and tell yesterday. She has been very busy!

Alice and family had a wonderful holiday at Dolphin Point last week. They go with other families (like we did many years ago!) and have such a lovely time. They also tried out their new caravan.

Alice and I went to Old Parliament House (MOAD Museum of Australian Democracy) on Monday. We had a lovely time learning lots about government. We also had yummy morning tea.

Here are our boys in winter uniform.....even though it was going to be 32 degrees.

This and that

Lovely to stitch with all the ladies last Wednesday. So good to see them and very motivating too. Jayne has been busy and has made a gorgeous zippered pouch using the Scrappy Backgrounds pattern.

I just love this cute pencil case that Jayne brought to stitching.
Roni has made excellent use of her scraps and has made this useful drawstring bag.
I put the borders on my Around Town BOM a few weeks ago but forgot to share it.
Here is my progress so far in the Vermont Summer Medallion. It is very addictive.
To finish, here are some of the flowers in our garden, taken with hubby's new camera lense. The garden has been loving the constant rain!!

This and that

It is certainly Autumn here as it has become quite chilly in the evenings. Still we have had a few sunny days recently to make up for the rain. I feel so sorry for the many who have been flooded in NSW and Queensland. What a terrible time for many.

We have all been fine here and quite a bit of the rain missed us. I have had some fun recently knitting a scarf. After quite a few goes at starting and making a silly error, it ended up knitting up well. Thanks to Jan for the lovely wool.

I also received my 2021 blog book too. I am so silly and called it 2020! I know 2021 was very similar to last year but I can't believe that I was that silly.

Lovely to see some beautiful stitching on Wednesday. Jayne has made a gorgeous zippered pouch with this lovely slow stitching panel.

Beth had finished her gorgeous ipad case for her sister.
Roni has been hand piecing all these diamonds to make this lovely quilt!

She also couldn't resisit this cute bunny when she was shopping!
I have started a new scarf! It is slow going but good fun using perle 8 cotton.
And, I will finish with some pictures of the miss when she was here last week. Do you like her red nose?
