This and that

 Lovely to stitch with all the ladies last Wednesday. So good to see them and very motivating too. Jayne has been busy and has made a gorgeous zippered pouch using the Scrappy Backgrounds pattern.

I just love this cute pencil case that Jayne brought to stitching.

Roni has made excellent use of her scraps and has made this useful drawstring bag.

I put the borders on my Around Town BOM a few weeks ago but forgot to share it.

Here is my progress so far in the Vermont Summer Medallion. It is very addictive.

To finish, here are some of the flowers in our garden, taken with hubby's new camera lense. The garden has been loving the constant rain!!

Stitching

 I received my last block of the Around Town BOM. Here is my progress so far.

Last Wednesday Roni brought this amazing wedding ring quilt that her sister has made. 

Roni has also made this very cute bee pin cushion.

Jayne has been working on an amazing gift! Her gorgeous decorative stitches are just amazing.

When I was away at retreat, Karen came to visit and shared this beautiful Liberty pouch that her friend had made for her. I so want to make one of these!

Also on retreat, Rose taught us how to make her lovely zippered pouches. Rose put the pocket on the front and then I finished it at home.

I also bought Gail's new pattern, Happy scrappy backgrounds and just had to have a go. It was great fun.

I used my background to back a see-through pouch. Rose showed us how to make those as well.

Stitching

 This afternoon I am heading off to Daylesford for a stitching retreat. So exciting to be able to go to one of these again. I have been busy preparing lots of stitching to take with me. I have also completed parts 3 and 4 of Around Town.

Roni has been very busy and has made a stocking,a gorgeous pin cushion and some lovely needle felted bees!

Jayne has been working on a lovely felt project too.

We had Friday night stitching recently and Heather has been making the most beautiful felt creations! 

The kids had Book Week last week and here they are all dressed up.

Stitching

 I have loved stitching Part 2 of Around Town by Anni Downs. All that hand stitching is so me!!

There has been some lovely sewing at Wednesday afternoon stitching too. Jayne has made this gorgeous embroidery with 3D hollyhocks.

Roni has also created these amazing bird pin cushions!!

I have enjoyed knitting these socks. I had some wool left over so made some baby hats for the hospital. Good fun!!

Some sewing...

 Well the time has certainly flown since my last post. I have been slowly stitching away. I ordered some more fabric for my inner border for my Kathy Schmitz hexagon quilt and have added all the outer hexagons.

My other fun project is Anni Downs' new BOM called Around Town. I do love that this is all hand stitched. Here are the stitcheries for Part 1 and I have begun the hexagons.
