Melbourne trip

We decided just a week before to head to Melbourne for the AQC. We had a lovely time in Melbourne shopping, eating and we especially enjoyed the quilt show. It was very busy on Thursday when we went but it is always such a nice show. Lovely to see some favourite designers like Anni Downs and Natalie Bird. There were a few purchases too.

On Friday besides more shopping and eating, we decided to go to the Art centre and saw a display of wonderful constumes of Divas through the years. Outfits from people like Dame Nellie Melba and Kylie Minogue. They were quite amazing.

We then had a long trip home on Saturday on the delayed train and bus!

Quilt exhibition

A few weeks ago  I met some friends at Craft Alive in Canberra. There were some lovely stalls and it was great to see the quilt Exhibition.

Perth

I was very lucky to be in Perth when the Craftalive quilt show was on. It was a nice show with quite a few shops that I hadn't seen before. I especially liked Bizzy Bee Patchwork which had lovely quilts and projects made with Japanese Yarn dyed fabrics. I enjoyed the quilts as well.

And to finish, just a few of the boys playing soccer and birthday Boy Ben.

We were very lucky to have Amy come back with us for work and we surprised her sister! She got a shock but was thrilled. We all loved having Amy here for the week.
