Lovely decorations

It was lovely as always to stitch at Beth's house last Wednesday. Her decorations are looking so lovely!

There was beautiful show and tell too. Paddy has made up this gorgeous beehive decoration.
Roni wowed us too with this 3D chook picture and the gorgeous Shepherds bush cross stitch.

She was also wearing this amazing punch needle birdie brooch. We all wanted one!!!

Nice work...

It was great, as usual, to see some lovely work at stitching last week. Beth has finished her lovely punch needle bag. It is a great pattern by Anni Downs.
In the evening, it was so exciting to see Sue's lovely quilt. She has made this one of Anni Downs' patterns for her little granddaughter. I just love the Tilda fabric used in this quilt.

Sam has been drawing again! This fellow is a robot who has x's all over him. Sam tells me that the implements in his hands are cooking tools and he makes x biscuits. When they cool, they turn into bricks that can be then built into towers! Amazing imagination!
I have a little finish to share too. These are from an Anni Downs' pattern too. They were such fun to make with gorgeous woven wool felt.

More lovely stitching

On Wednesday afternoon, Ronnie brought along her finished canvas work strawberry. It looks great.
She has also had fun making this reindeer. His body is punch needled and then she appliqued the scarf and feet and embroidered the rest. He turned out very well.
Barb has been busy too and finished her first punch needle project and made up this little Santa.
She has also stitched these lovely elves!

It was nice to see some My Town progress too. Terrie brought her blocks to share with us.

She is still working on the Teahouse.
Karen has been VERY busy and has stitched these lovely stitcheries to go in the corners of her My Town quilt. They will look very effective.

Stitching and classes

Finally had time to check my camera and I found some lovely stitching photos from recent weeks. Gwen had finished her needle roll last week and it looks lovely.
The Tuesday stitching girls have been busy too. Barbara is having a lovely time punch needling these lovely pears. This is what you see underneath your work and is the right side. Isn't the shading great?
Josie has been busy finishing off some older projects and here is her Christmas hanger.
Helen has been colouring and stitching this lovely stitchery from our stitching day.
It was great to catch up with the afternoon class girls too. Karen has been very busy embroidering this absolutely gorgeous pillow case.
An order came in that day too and we have these wonderful Perfect Circles in stock. They are so useful for needleturn as they are thin and plastic but can be ironed! I find the small ones very useful for needleturned circles.

Wednesday stitching and classes

It is always lovely to catch up with the ladies at social stitching and at classes in the afternoon and evening. It is always so inspiring to see what everyone has been making. Janet had made the most gorgeous tiny knitted hat for her new babe, due soon,  but I forgot to take a photo. Donna had finished her embroidered keyring from the Summer day of stitching at the shop recently. Doesn't it look beautiful? I was very impressed with her Winnie the Pooh key on her keyring. Think I need one of those!

Classes started yesterday and it was very special to catch up on all the ladies' news and to see what they have been stitching. Can't fit it all into one post! Bronwyn had made some lovely things over the break. I just love this hanging from Anni Downs' Some Kind of Wonderful book. Must make one of these!
Bronwyn has also finished this punch needle bag from Anni's book The World as it Should be.
Doesn't the punch needle look good?
She had also made a toaster cover.
Bronwyn had also finished this lovely drawstring bag from last year's stitching day. Hasn't she been busy?

Busy day at stitching

We had a very special little visitor to stitching on Wednesday. Little Jaydon came to visit for the first time.
Here are the 4 generations!
It must be the time for babies as it was lovely to see this delightful quilt that Angela has made for her new grandchild that is due very soon.
Janet is one of the newer ladies at stitching and she loves to knit and makes gorgeous blankets and garments using vintage patterns. This is a closeup of the blanket she has knitted.
She managed to knit this little cardigan last week!!!
In the afternoon, at class, it was great to see the ladies' stitching. Karen has almost finished her bag pocket which is stitched and decorated using her punch needle.
Lynne started this sewing pocket last week and had it filled with all her stitching goodies ready to use this week.
Pauline had finished the little felt needlecase that she started at the stitching day last Saturday.
