Home activities

We have been home for quite a few weeks. So now is the time to get back to normal. I had a few quilts professionally quilted before I went away so I enjoyed binding and labelling them. Nice to see them finished. The first is Owl and Hare Hollow and the second is the Adeline and Remy quilt from my quilting holiday last year.

I had knitted this cardigan earlier on so it needed blocking and buttons.

The week we returned we had to head to Sydney for a funeral for Bruce's cousin. He had been very ill and was 82 but he will be missed. Graham was the loveliest man and the memoral service was really beautiful. As the family doesn't get together often a few pictures were taken.

Weekend away and other news

I went to the coast a few weeks ago for our annual girls weekend with the Thursday ladies. It was a fun weekend as always even though the weather was cool and rainy. A few people swam, many walked (not me), some stitched and crocheted and we ate well. Many puzzles were also completed.

Anita brought in her wonderful Owl and Hare Hollow quilt to show us. Looks amazing.

Last Wednesday, at afternoon stitching, we loved seeing Beth's Easter decorations.

I have been struggling with my lacy knitting lately. I can't seem to do a lacy pattern like I could when young!!! Here it is blocking.
On Saturday, Adrienne and I went to the Australian Yarn show and there were so many gorgeous yarns. I wasn't buying any but...... I couldn't resist these blues to make a Love Note sweater

This and that

Finally, a bit of stitching to share. Before I went away I finished off the Christmas box, a pattern by Lynette Anderson. I was given the kit as a gift by Fiona and had completed the stitchery ages ago. As always it is the putting together that slows me down. It isn't perfect but looks ok.

Last Wednesday night Anita shared her finished Owl and Hare Hollow quilt. It looks fantastic.

A little while ago we headed to the coast for the church camp. Didn't take any photos but here are a few of the beach.

Finally, a catch up of the boys and family in Perth. Janelle and Richard were able to visit them after their cruise to Perth and took a few photos. The others are school awards and activities.

It was Canberra day yesterday and this little family celebrated with a walk in the warm weather.

This and that

I have made some progress these last few weeks on my Owl and Hare Hollow BOM. It is now a finished top (to add to the pile of others that need quilting)! It always feels good to get to this stage. This has been a fun quilt to make.

It was very exciting to receive my 2023 Blog book in the mail. So nice to see all the memories and stories of a good year.

Ay stitching on Wednesday, Roni shared some of her recent finishes!!! They are all just gorgeous.

I also thought I would share my knitting from many years ago!! I am passing them on to my neice for her latest little one. So nice to see them here to remember them.

Finally a few pictures of my lovely boys heading off to their new school in Perth.
