Update on the little boys

I thought you would like another update on my precious grandsons. They are so gorgeous! They are now sitting up in the pram like big boys.

Amy and Gav took them up to Sydney for a day to visit "old" Ma and Pa. Can't believe how big they look now in their arms compared to when the family visited earlier on. Pa sang "Old Mcdonald had a farm" to Sam while Ma danced around the room with Benny. There is even  a video to prove it.

These photos, that Amy took, make me smile every time I see them! Sam is so cool and Ben makes the greatest faces!

Hobbysew Christmas party

There were an amazing number of guests at the Hobbysew Christmas party on Saturday. It was wonderful that so many wanted to come and we spilled out of the classroom into the shop. There was so much show and tell but as I was right out the back, it was hard to take too many photos. So many beautiful quilts and sewing projects, most made in classes at Hobbysew.

This lovely quilt was quilted by the owner after a free motion class.
Clare had a lovely quilt in the black and white challenge recently and also has been busy making some lovely puppets. This little lady is a little Root child from the book below. She has a bucket and paint brush to paint the bugs like the lovely little lady beetle in her arms. Clare even crocheted the hat with raffia.

After the show and tell, there was shopping to do as Hobbysew had specials just for the ladies at the party and there was delicious morning tea as well.

It must be nearly Christmas

Only a few weeks till Christmas and everyone is busy making gifts and decorations! Karen has made this amazing quilt. I showed it a few weeks ago and it has now been beautifully quilted by Robyn.
This is the back with all the lovely butterflies fluttering around.
Sue has made this amazing wreath with champagne corks! She does admit that they drink a fair bit of champers!
Every year, Danni uses this lovely Christmas bag in December. What a lovely idea.
Margaret has been so busy. We hoped she was making 12 of these for all of us!!!! She has made about 5 or 6 of these bags from the Tis the Season book for gifts. What gorgeous gifts.

Margaret cleverly used the cute panel of squares instead of the hexagons on some of the bags.
Sally has been busy too and has finished her lovely bunting.

Heidi has also finished this absolutely gorgeous Christmas stitchery by Rosalie Quinlan. I have started too but it will be for next year.
I have decorated my house which is an achievement as it takes ages to do. It has been done since last Friday and I am enjoying it all now. Here are some of my favourite decorations on the wire tree.
I hope to get into the sewing room today and stitch a few things together!!!!

Wonderful wedding!

We were so thrilled to attend the beautiful wedding of Fiona and David's daughter Ashleigh and Tim on Saturday. Even on the headland there were beautiful decorations to make the ceremony so special.

Here comes the beautiful bride and her very proud Dad.
The weather was so perfect. It was still and cloudy with not a drop of rain.

The bridesmaids were gorgeous too along with the handsome best men.

Ash's dress was so beautiful. The lace and beading was exquisite. The flowers were so lovely too.
Her is Ash and her lovely sister Chelsea.
The scenery was just spectacular for beautiful photos. Lovely to see Ashleigh's grandparents enjoying the day.

The beach was just perfect for photos.

I loved the girls' hair decorated simply with flowers.
There was even Just Married bunting on the gorgeous little (very old...1954) Morris.
Everything was decorated so beautifully for the reception.

This lovely old suitcase was Tim's Grandpa's!
It was such a special celebration.

Almost all Christmas show and tell

Hobbysew was buzzing with show and tell again this week. It was almost all Christmas related with the ladies getting very organised and getting things finished! Terrie has finished her beautiful Christmas angel by Annie Smith. We all wanted one!
She had also finished her little Santa from the stitching day.
Helen loves canvas work and had finished her lovely canvas work decoration. Gorgeous colours!

Barbara is working on hers as well and it is looking lovely. She has chosen to use pearl threads which is a good idea.
In the evening, it was so special to see Sue's beautiful table runner from one of Nancy Halverson's books! Looks so good and the great big red buttons look fantastic.

Anita has also finished her lovely stitchery. This is one of Rosalie Quinlan's patterns and it looks great.
Anita has also made this owl quilt. It is very clever as it is a panel!
I have been doing a little stitching but am in the middle of Christmas decorating and should be doing that right now instead of blogging. I love making the decorations but they do take a long time to arrange!
