Stitching, a decoration and littlies

I have actually finished 2 projects this week. I made another decoration. It is another of Marg Low's lovely patterns.
I also finally finished this zippered stitching bag. I stitched this front at a class with Wendy Williams in January. The pattern is in her book.
I needed to stitch the back and then sew the front and back to the bag. That is not an easy job and I have sore fingers to prove it. Mind you, I am happy with the result.
At class yesterday it was lovely to see what the ladies have been working on over the school holidays. Paddy is doing so well with her cross stitch.

Lynda has finished her foundation pieced hanging and it looks great.
She has also embellished the other foundation pieced tree with beads. It looks fantastic.
Marlene had her lovely basket liner or mat completed too.
Just a few pictures of the little people to finish up today. We minded the boys again on Monday and had a busy time at the mall and the park! They were a bit tired. Little Benny still didn't sleep!

Alice was having a play with the blocks when she visited earlier in the week.

Gorgeous cross stitch

Lynn came into Hobbysew this week and showed me the beautiful cross stitch that she stitched while overseas recently. They were both so beautifully stitched.

Here are some of Bruce's lovely photos of the spring flowers.

After a few really hot days, we are back to cool again today! Bit of a shock after 30 degrees on Tuesday!

A little stitching

I have been stitching a little lately in between getting my Stitching on the Lake projects done. I have prepared the hexagons that are needed for this zippered pouch by Hugs and Kisses.
Marg Low is going to try and make a decoration each week till Christmas. I thought it was a good idea so started stitching these little decorations by Lynette Anderson. Here is one all done! Marg has made a gorgeous little felt pudding.

Family time

Monday was a public holiday here is Canberra and so we headed to a park to spend some time with the family. Ma is visiting this week so it was lovely to see her too. The weather was perfect for a picnic morning tea.

It was special to see Lois and Phoebe and their parents and Auntie Janelle too. Didn't get photos of everyone as it was a little busy with all the little ones.

Nature's Journey quilt

There has been so much machine sewing happening here. I just had to get my top made for the Stitch-a-long blog by the end of September and here it is! It was a big job but worth it to have this quilt top ready!

Tulip Top Gardens

We headed out to Tulip Top gardens yesterday and even though it was very chilly, the sun was shining and the flowers were gorgeous. We enjoyed the sausage sandwich provided and then feasted on yummy food that everyone brought along. It was a lovely day out.
We bumped into the birthday girl, Roz, there too!

We were trying to remember when we went there before. It was in 2007! I was checking my blog books to find it but I didn't blog back then! Some of us were there both times.
