Decorations and lovely work

Here is my decoration for this week. I managed to make 2 as they are so much fun to make. They are made from another Marg Low pattern.

Great to see more wonderful stitching at Hobbysew this week. Najelle has made this lovely runner from a Marg Low book.

Roni has been busy again and has made these lovely reindeers from a Tilda book! I want some! She has also started the beautiful Santa in the same book that I am hoping to make.....one day.
In the evening, Sally has been busy finishing things off and has made this little stitched purse that we did at a stitching day a while ago. She also made this little teddy for a grandie.

Sue has crocheted this lovely hat for her little granddaughter. She will look so cute!
Fiona and I have been busy again this week getting ready for our second Stitching on the Lake day. Kits are ready and we will be setting up this afternoon. Don't forget your favourite mug! The pictures of our projects are here and here.

Inspiration

Last week at social stitching and classes, there was so much show and tell. It was so inspiring and made me want to get stitching! Roni has finished this amazing bunting using the little bags pattern by Anni Downs. She made the stitcheries bigger and then added ricrac to hang the bunting. I so want one of these!

Roni has also finished her Christmas Fun quilt, a Lynette Anderson design. She has added her own special touches and changed a few of the appliqued pictures.

Donna surprised us all with her amazing Christmas hanging with real lights. Her little grandson wanted real lights so here they are!

Karen has just finished this beautiful little bag from a pattern by Lynette Anderson.

Lynn has been very busy. She finished all of these projects recently. Don't they look great! Gorgeous work, Lynn.

Yesterday at work, Colleen came in and showed me her finished bag using this Christmas stitchery. Doesn't it look wonderful in different colours. I love her choice of toning fabrics too.

I feel inspired!

More of the stitching day

Many of the ladies brought along Show and tell and it was great to see what they have made. Fiona has more pictures on her blog. Jo had her finished bag from our retreat in 2014. She made hers larger and added handles.
Judith had made the basket liner from last year into a wonderful cushion
Jeanette has finished both the projects from the retreat in September! She made the cushion into a lovely large bag.
Here are two of the projects from last year all finished.
Two of the ladies had made the Singalong bunting and they both look wonderful.

Margaret brought along these lovely projects made from an Anni Downs panel! She showed these to us at Wednesday night class and we all had to have a panel!!

Stitching on the Lake Day 1

We had such a fun day yesterday at Stitching on the Lake. It is always such a pleasure to catch up with so many friends and to meet some new stitchers too. The hall was all set up on Friday night ready for our special day on Saturday.

Najelle and Terrie came with lots of lovely goodies to tempt us all.

Here we are all ready to greet everyone.

Here is Fiona with Judy and her lovely family and friends.
So good to see people using all sorts of fabrics to make their bunting cushions.

We were so lucky to have several people come to the day from out of town! I think Rose came the furthest....all the way from Melbourne. So lovely to catch up with Rose again.

Rose spoilt Fiona and I but giving us this great zippered pouch made with selvedges! It is such a cute shape and will be so useful.

Fiona and Kim managed to finish their star decorations. They look great. Well done.

We did have a lovely day. The food was wonderful as always but will keep that a secret until next week. Looking forward to another day of stitching fun next Saturday.
