Christmas celebrations

There have been a few Christmassy celebrations and catchups recently. I am sure you are all enjoying these too. Last Tuesday I caught up with Fiona in Braidwood for a lovely lunch. I didn't take any photos but I was very spoilt for Christmas with this gorgeous scissor keeper!

On Wednesday, the morning stitching girls all went out for lunch for Christmas which was fun.  On Wednesday afternoon we headed to school to watch the Christmas concert. We were so lucky to be able to be outside for this as we just missed the rain!

Today I am heading to the Hyatt for afternoon tea! There is just too much eating at Christmas but it is such fun!

Lovely show and tell

We enjoyed our Christmas party for the afternoon girls on Wednesday. It has been lovely spending each Wednesday afternoon with this special group of ladies.
The food everyone brought along was amazing! Even though we mostly ate and chatted, it was great so see some show and tell. Jayne has made this wonderful whale for a special friend. She added some felt on the back to make it a useful needle case.

She also made this beautiful mat with a seaside theme as well!

Lynne has been so busy and has cross stitched these wonderful tiles!!!

She also made this useful pincushion and a lovely brooch.

Roni had some wonderful finishes too. Here is her punch needle and stitched cushion.
She also made this great pillow case for her grown up son.....who doesn't love Christmas like Mum does, so it is a bit of a joke! I think it is amazing. Can you see the dog driving the car?
Roni was also wearing this lovely brooch which she just whipped up.
I was also so lucky as Roni made me this wonderful reindeer. He is so special!
The evening girls have been busy too. Judy has finished her Marg Low decoration and so has Margaret.

This week, I have been making the Christmas shirts for the grandchildren! I decided to make them all the same but then the big boys decided they needed theirs to be a little different. Sam's Santa has glasses and Ben's one has gifts!

Sewing and decorating...

I have been busy last week decorating the house. Quite pleased that it is all done! Here is the tree all decked out!
Lovely to see what the ladies have been making last week. Diana has made these great decorations using felt. Another lovely pattern by Marg Low.
Jayne is hooked on punchneedle. We all loved this scene.
Sue has been busy too and has made this gorgous little bag as a gift.
I finished off my little cross stitch decorations. I plan to put these into some of my cards.
Little miss was given a cute Santa bear at the chemist yesterday. She loved him.

Jack turns 3!

Our littlest man turned 3 last week. That time has gone fast. He did celebrate with 3 parties! The first was with Granny and Poppy who were visiting from Perth. He got this great cubby for his birthday.

We then celebrated as a family as well with yummy cakes and more presents.

He then had a lovely party yesterday with his little friends and family as well.

Nice work...

It was great, as usual, to see some lovely work at stitching last week. Beth has finished her lovely punch needle bag. It is a great pattern by Anni Downs.
In the evening, it was so exciting to see Sue's lovely quilt. She has made this one of Anni Downs' patterns for her little granddaughter. I just love the Tilda fabric used in this quilt.

Sam has been drawing again! This fellow is a robot who has x's all over him. Sam tells me that the implements in his hands are cooking tools and he makes x biscuits. When they cool, they turn into bricks that can be then built into towers! Amazing imagination!
I have a little finish to share too. These are from an Anni Downs' pattern too. They were such fun to make with gorgeous woven wool felt.
