Assemblies

A few weeks ago the big boys had their assembly. It was lovely to see after not seeing any last year. The photos need to be shown even if they aren't very good taken from a distance.

Little miss had her assembly last week and it was a delight. Again, the photos are a bit fuzzy but worth recording. She was one of the three mad scientists.

Botticelli to Van Gogh

Last week we headed to the National Gallery to see the Botticelli to Van Gogh Exhibition. It was well worth the visit. Here are a few of my favourite paintings.

Little bits and pieces

Not sure where the time seems to fly to. I have been a little uninspired of late but receiving my latest BOM spurred me on. I do love a little wool applique. This is block 7 of The Santa, the Tree.....

I have slowly been knitting this scarf. I had another pattern but it needed too much counting so this 3 row pattern was much easier.
Another simmering project are some advent bags. The stitcheries were done years ago and I never got around to making the hanging so decided bags would be good. They might be ready for Christmas!
We loved seeing Roni's amazing Show and tell last Wednesday. These hearts are tiny and we all want to make some!!!
Roni has also been making rope baskets and they are wonderful!

We have also been seeing the kids! Here is Mr Jack listening to a book!
We also had the school cross country a few weeks ago. All the kids did so well and tried so hard.

Some stitching progress

Lovely to share a couple of finishes this time. I have been slowly working on my Stitch Therapy 365 quilt and it is now finished! I am very pleased with the finished quilt.

Adrienne has finished hers too. It looks amazing and she did such a fabulous job of the machine quilting.
I have been working on this tree skirt for most of this year and finally finished it. It was very hard knowing when to stop decorating the houses!!!

I bought a frame from Kmart for this little cross stitch.
Loved working on block 6 of The Santa, The tree..... BOM.
To finish off.....gorgeous Autumn colours!!!

Gifts

I was so spoilt for my special birthday! I feel like I have been celebrating for weeks. Thanks you to my family and friends for spoiling me so much. My lovely stitching friends gave me a voucher for dinner at one of my favourite restaurants and some money to spend on Liberty fabrics when we get to a craft fair again!!

My girls gave me 2 amazing gifts. Lyndal made me a Liberty jacket!!! And I also received a lovely new flash handbag!

On Sunday, Fiona and David came to stay and took me out for a lovely dinner. It was very special to catch up with them. Fiona also gave me these gorgeous earrings!!

On Monday, my dear sister in law, Janelle, took me out for morning tea and surprised me with beautiful flowers and a lovely book of almost 50 years of memories we have shared!

I had also orderd my 2020 blog book and here it is. It is quite thin compared to my usual ones but still a nice memory of the strange year that 2020 was.
