Celebrations

We enjoyed a wonderful High Tea at Parliament house last Saturday. It was our Friday night "Crazy Crafty Divas" and the Wednesday morning girls celebration. It was just lovely with lots of chat and delicious food.

We always do Secret Santa and I was lucky to receive this great pot mitt and some very special teas and hot chocolate. Thanks Maree.
I made this pouch for my gift this year. It is a lovely pattern by Anni Downs and is in her new book.

Heather made this amazing ornament. She designed it and it is so beautiful. There were lots of other gorgeous gifts but I didn't get round to taking any more pictures.
Then, on Sunday, Fiona and David came to visit for afternoon tea and Fiona had made me this wonderful Shepherds Bush stocking. It is just amazing!
I made her this little cushion decoration along with some shortbread etc.

Bits and pieces

A few weeks ago I headed to the Canberra Craft show. It was a very small show but it was still nice to have a look around. The quilt show was quite amazing. Here are just a few of them.

Lovely to see some amazing show and tell last Wednesday. Jayne has made this gorgeous felt and mbroidered bag. Just amazing!

Beth had received these wonderful elves from her lovely friend Katie. Katie, you are amazing!!! These are so gorgeous!

Family

Where did November go? I know we were away but only 1 post! I will have to make up for that in December. A few weeks ago the little miss was in another dance concert. The dancers and costumes were amazing.

A few Saturdays ago we headed to Bowral for our annual lunch with the oldies in the family. It is always a lovely outing. Ma looks pretty amazing here as she had a pacemaker operation just a few days before!

The little man, Jack, also had his birthday party with his friends. He is now 7!!

We also celebrated with him on his birthday.

I needed a picture of the children for my cards. They are getting harder to photograph.
The past few days I have been very busy decorating. It is all done now which is wonderful. Alice helped on Tuesday with the tree and after a while she needed a rest as "Nana has too many decorations".

Cruising

We headed away two weeks ago and were looking forward to a relaxing cruise to New Zealand. Sadly Covid intervened and we spend the last 6 days in our cabin. We were thankful for the balcony, the food that was delivered and that we had a fairly mild case of Covid. Still we ended up missing half the holiday. We did enjoy sailing through Milford Sound. The waterfalls were very spectacular as they had had lots of rain.

We had a lovely day in Dunedin. We hired a car and headed to the Albatross centre. The countryside was gorgeous. Afterwards we went to the Botanic Gardens to look at the wonderful rhododendrons.

On Saturday, we were in Christchurch. It was a shock to see how different the city is but they are doing amazing things to repair everything. We enjoyed seeing the "cardboard" cathedral and also what was left of the original cathedral. We were very impressed with the new library and convention centre.

After that we were isolating so here are a few shots of Sydney as we returned last Saturday.  It was a shambles getting off the ship. We had to wait such a long time and then we all walked off in a bit group anyway!!!
