The World as it Should be projects

I am about to head to work and am taking my finished projects from Anni's book with me to put on display.

I am so pleased with this lovely bag from the book. It is felted wool applique on the front.

Here is the little needlecase and bookmark that I have shared previously.

And here is the finished cushion.

I am working on the punch needle and enjoying "punching" again. I haven't done any for ages.

I am also taking the Christmas class ones too so those who are coming to the class can see what I am offering. I will post pictures of those tomorrow.

Felting continued

Here is the felting demonstration.

Penny and I went to a class and had a go at wet felting. Very interesting and good exercise for the hands and wrists.

You use very simple materials. The other ladies used bubble wrap instead of the cane mat. What a lovely snake I have produced!

Finished class projects

Jenny from the Wednesday afternoon class has finished her evening bag. Hasn't it turned out well? 

Margaret finished her little house pin cushion.

Margaret also finished her evening bag though the photo is a little blurry.  It has turned out really well.

Punch needle Fun

Over the last year or so I have been enjoying using my punch needle. I made this little house punch needle from a book by Anni Downs from Hatched and Patched and it is a little rough! I did enjoy the process and like the slightly rough result. It is hard to get a really fine outline with the punch needle.

I then went to a class at Canberra Needlework, which has sadly closed. It was with Lynette Anderson and it was great to get some expert tuition. It was a fun class and we made this very cute little purse.
