Shopping and stitching

I did do a bit of shopping in Sydney. It was too tempting! I loved these new patterns by Anni Downs and also by Natalie Bird.

This gorgeous boro scatf is so beautiful. Can't wait to make it.....after finishing a few other things first.
These lovely knitting needles were on my list! Expensive but so good.
I have been getting a few things finished. This little needlecase was a gift. It is a gorgeous design by Anni Downs.

This stitchery was finished ages ago and it is now a useful bag.
My big finish is my Dancing Chickens and Flying Pigs quilt and label. This is all hand quilted so that took a while.

Roni came into stitching this week with this great button necklace on. So lovely.
She had also finished her lovely Natalie Bird pin cushion.
Lynn had also finished this beautiful zippered pouch.
Here are my latest Stitch Therapy 365 blocks. We are nearly half way.

Sydney quilt show

It was great fun to head up to Sydney last Thursday with friends for the Sydney quilt show. We first enjoyed shopping, lemon tart and coffee/tea on Thursday afternoon. It was especially fun to find the lovely Japanese book store and the Muji clothing store too. I was very tempted to buy a Sophie Digard scarf but resisted! On Friday we headed to the show and it was very special to catch up with Fiona and also to visit my favourite stalls.

We just loved Anni's stall and bought just a few things!

Loved seeing Natalie Bird's stall and especially the new BOM behind her. Some of the night girls are going to make this one. I am a bit tempted!
I especially liked these lovely stitched pendants.

These amazing pictures are done by Meredith Woolnough. They are all done by machine!

This lovely crochet tunnel was fun! It was made by Prudence Mapstone.
We also enjoyed looking at all the quilts. Here are some of them.

Little miss turns 5

There have been quite a few celebrations this week for the little miss. Firstly she received gifts from Mum and Dad on Monday and then we came over for the first cake in the afternoon.

Then the poor little pet was quite ill for her real birthday so had some days at home instead of going to preschool. But thankfully she was better for her party on Saturday. It was a rainbow pyjama party.

There was also a family party on Sunday afternoon as well.

Then there were cupcakes at preschool yesterday! She is a very lucky girl.
