Family

This week Ma came to visit just for two days. It is always fun to spend time with her. On Monday, Alice and I headed over to visit Janelle and Ma. We then headed off to Lake Ginnenderra for a play. Alice loved spending time with Lois and Phoebe.

Yesterday we headed to the outlets for some shoes and had success.
We also had a scenic drive to show Ma some of the blossoms and then went to the cafe at Weston Park for lunch. We were optomisitc sitting outside but had to head indoors soon after.

The little miss also had a Troop dancing competition last weekend. Her troop did so well and came first.

Stitching

I received my last block of the Around Town BOM. Here is my progress so far.

Last Wednesday Roni brought this amazing wedding ring quilt that her sister has made.

Roni has also made this very cute bee pin cushion.
Jayne has been working on an amazing gift! Her gorgeous decorative stitches are just amazing.
When I was away at retreat, Karen came to visit and shared this beautiful Liberty pouch that her friend had made for her. I so want to make one of these!

Also on retreat, Rose taught us how to make her lovely zippered pouches. Rose put the pocket on the front and then I finished it at home.
I also bought Gail's new pattern, Happy scrappy backgrounds and just had to have a go. It was great fun.
I used my background to back a see-through pouch. Rose showed us how to make those as well.

Ma's road trip

Last week, Deirdre and Paul took Ma on a road trip. They had a lovely time travelling to Lakes Entrance to visit John, Ma's grandson, and his family. They enjoyed lovely weather and good times and lots of nice food along the way.

Don't they look like they are having fun!

Srirching retreat

It was so special to head away last week to a stitching retreat in Daylesford. Fiona and I flew in on Monday and then headed to Daylesford in our hire car. The house was amazing and just perfect for stitching. It sleeps 10 though we had only 7 and it was so well set up. On Wednesday the weather fined up and Fiona and I headed to Ballan to visit Millrose Cottage. It was extra lovely to catch up with Judy Newman who was teaching there that day.

We also visited Chrissies's lovely shop. It was lovely to catch up with her too.

Here are a few pictures of the retreat house and some of  us out for lunch on Saturday.

We then flew home on Sunday evening!
I worked on this Lynette Anderson stitchery and also did some knitting. Below are a few goodies that I bought while I was away.
