A bit of stitching

After all the celebrations and doll making, it has been nice to work on some of my other projects. I managed to finish the lovely zippered bag from the Stitching day last September. It is a great pattern from Anni Downs' new book. It went together well though was a slow process. I also sadly sewed the lining in upside down.....it isn't being undone to repair this!

I also started this Christmas bag by Anni Downs. I bought the kit last year and am enjoying the lovely wool applique.

It has been great to see a few of our stitching friends and see what they have been stitching. Paddy made this beautiful pouch for a gift. It is another Anni Downs' pattern.
Heather has been working on this amazing cloth for a while and it is so beautful. Lovely liberty paper piecing for the petals and absolutely amazing, embroidered centres.

The crocheted edge is gorgeous too.

Little Miss turns 6

Miss Alice had some lovely celebrations for her 6th birthday. She had a party with her friends on Saturday and they had good fun. Here she is before the party in her new Liberty dress which Mummy made for her.

The cake was a mermaid themed number 6.
On Sunday she celebrated with Daddy's side of the family in the morning and then came to us in the afternoon. We enjoyed afternoon tea and she enjoyed opening her gifts. She did love her doll and has named her Adeline.

A doll for the little miss

I haven't had much to share lately as I have been busy making one of the AK Traditions dolls for little Miss Alice who turned 6 on Friday. It has been so much fun making her clothes!! Here she is....

I put her extra outfits in a cute suitcase that I bought at Hobbysew. Here are the gifts before they were wrapped for the birthday girl.

Biggest Morning tea

It has been nice to go out again over the last few weeks. Makes such a difference seeing people in REAL life again. I feel like it is busy as my only outing was the grocery shopping each week. I have been sewing and knitting but am working on a little secret stitching that can be revealed next week. That means that I haven't achieved much else! Everything is waiting!!! Might just share the Biggest Morning tea that we hosted last week. Normally this is held at the church but this year we split up into small groups (to follow the rules) and met in homes. It was successful as we raised over $2000.

The funniest part was one of our guests wore his slippers! He is definitely settled into isolation.
The other groups all had lovely times together and delicious food too!
