Some stitching and a party

A few more blocks have been completed for Stitch Therapy 365. These are fun to stitch.

I am also slowly making these blocks for the borders of  Here, There and Everywhere. They are easy to make but you can't rush these things!
Our church turned 90 this last weekend and so we had a Gatsby evening. Quite a few people dressed up which was fun. I borrowed my gear from a friend of a friend!

Janelle, my sister in law, and Caroline and I were tasked with decorating the hall. None of us are terribly good at flower arranging but it all worked out ok. Janelle managed to borrow vases, beads and fake flowers so it was all quite festive in the end.

Yesterday we had an amazing service which included some wonderful music from the last 90 years! We even had trumpets, violins and drums to go with the organ, guitars and piano. The choir sang beautifully too. After the service this photo was taken to replicate one taken on the same day in 1929. There weren't many suits or hats in this one!

Stitching catchup

I did get some stitching done on the cruise and since I came home. I did end up with a terrible flu for quite a few days! It was so very tiring and the coughing was awful! Thankfully I am fully recovered now. Here are a few pictures of the ship.

There was a glass walkway and this is what you saw as you walked across it!

I kept up with my Stitch Therapy 365 blocks. I warn you there are a lot of them! I did number 50 today. This is a fun project.

My ninth part of Here, There and Everywhere came a few weeks ago. Am finally back onto that one too. This part is two of the borders so there is a bit more machining this month.

New Zealand continued

Our next port was Akaroa. This is a lovely place and we chose to wander around first and then did a local bus tour on amazing windy roads and steep drops into the countryside. There is quite a french influence here due to early settlers to the area.

We then headed to Dunedin. We had booked a train trip here. It was the Seaside train to Waitati. It was just there and back and the scenery was lovely. The train station is just beautiful in Dunedin.

We then headed back and had lunch at Emersons Brewery which was recommended but our tour guide on the train. Very delicious.

We then went into town for a spot of shopping and then went back to the ship. The next day was scenic cruising in the fjords. What a gorgeous place this is and the day was perfect.
