Lovely work

Last Wednesday, the afternoon girls finally met again. It was so nice to chat and stitch and eat and drink tea too! We were amazed and inspired to see all the wonderful projects that Jayne has finished during lockdown!! I am sure I have this pattern in my stash and should really make one. It is a block keeper designed by Anni Downs.

This little Christmas tree skirt is a delight too.
Jayne has done a gorgeous job on this kit from Lynette Anderson.
This folder cover is another lovely Anni Downs design.
Jayne has also stitched this gorgeous picture too!
Beth has been busy too stitching this cute owl and crocheting a lovely bird decoration.

What have I done? I did put borders on the house quilt.
I have been trying to use up some old stitcheries. This is a bag using my last Love and Hugs stitchery.
My biggest achievement has been stitching all these hexagons together. I have loved sewing them. Now to work out the borders.

Spring

Last week the Wednesday afternoon ladies went into Commonwealth park to look at Floriade. It hasn't been officially held this year because of Covid but the flowers were planted and still looked lovely.

Here are a few pictures of the flowers in our garden.

Birthdays

We celebrated two birthdays over the last few weeks. They were both celebrated outside and socially distanced. Still as we all live close by, at least we could celebrate a little. Firstly, our son-in-law celebrated his 40th birthday.

Then last weekend our lovely daughter, Lyndal, turned 40 too! Can't believe that precious baby was born so long ago.

We bought her this cane hanging chair. Ma had one many years ago when my girls were little, and Lyndal has always wanted one.

She also made her lovely dress and matching mask for the celebration. She even made the cake which was delicious.

The little miss drew her a special card. Can you see what it is......I am sure you guessed a sewing machine.
These two enjoying themselves at the party at the park.
