In the afternoon we caught the tram into Tours and visited the Cathedrale St-Gatien and visited the Musee Des Beaux-Arts in an old archbishop's palace. We then went into the old town for another yummy galette.

Chateau de Langeais and Tours
We visited our last castle on Thursday 13th April. This castle had wonderful rooms and especially wonderful tapestries. There were many examples of original furniture from the 15th and 16th century. Charles V111 married Anne of Brittany here secretly in 1491.

Villandry
On the 12th April, we also went to visit the Chateau of Villandry. It was absolutely amazing, especially the gardens!
In the evening we headed into Tours to have dinner and really enjoyed seeing the old town bustling with people. The Place Plumereau was so busy and interesting.

Chambord and Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau
On Tuesday, 11th April, we caught the tram into Tours and had a wander around. In the afternoon we headed to the Chateau of Chambord. It was absolutely amazing once again.
The next morning we visited the Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau which is a lovely smaller castle but sadly it was mostly covered in scaffolding. We did get a discount on our entry ticket!
This castle was close to a lovely little town so we had a coffee and a wander around.
