Quilts and Cutting Cloth

 There were some amazing quilts at AQC. Here are just a few.

On Saturday we had an adventure and caught the bus and train to Cutting Cloth. It was so worth the visit.

We also enjoyed choosing some cakes at Brunettis. Such a lovely selection. There was a Brunettis just up the road in Lygon St and one in Myer in the city. We also had several dinners at Papa Gino's near to our apartment. It was great value and very delicious.

Here are my purchases!!! So many lovely things to tempt us.

Melbourne and the AQC

 Last week a few of us headed to Melbourne to the AQC. We had a lovely time. On Thursday, even after my delayed flight (thanks Qantas), we went to the Titanic Exhibition. It was great.

On Friday we went to the AQC. It was a lovely exhibition in a beautiful building. There were also lovely shops!

A little sewing and a birthday

 It was my birthday last week. I am getting very old!! Still it is a privilege to get old and I am very lucky to be well. I celebrated my birthday on Thursday and luckily the Thursday ladies were having a lunch! I even had a candle and a happy birthday song. Thanks ladies.

In the evening we went out for dinner and Lyndal had made me this gorgeous glasses case.

On Friday, the little miss had an assembly at school. It was good fun and nice to see her grade performing. She and her friend are incognito in beards!

Some of our trees are starting to turn. I do love the autumn colours.

I have been stitching though a few books have been getting in the way!!! I have been enjoying a little cross stitch.
