A bit of progress

I have felt more like stitching lately. I started to sew my houses, the Moda Village houses, into rows and that really spurred me on to make more of them. I decided to do 9 houses across by 8 down and here they are. Now the quilt needs borders. I have only used scraps and was not sure how they would look but am pleased.

I have loved stitching the Tiny Treasures and here are the last few and the quilt so far.

Caught up with a few of the stitching girls last week for a coffee and walk and Beth had made this great Santa cushion!

Stitching away

Having crafty hobbies certainly helps you in lockdown. I should be doing more but have been plodding away as well as reading and occassionally having a walk.....not often enough! I did walk a long way on Wednesday with Beth and Roni. We walked 8 kms! I was quite sore afterwards but really enjoyed catching up with the ladies. Roni had a little show and tell too. Just check out this amazing scarf, decorated with punch needle circles!

Roni has also made this cute Christmas pillow.

I have made up a few cushions using various stitched fronts. This one was an applique class that I enjoyed with Michelle Hill......many years ago.
These are made using the Love and Hugs stitcheries from last year.

Other than that I have been still enjoying the Tiny Treasures stitcheries. I have even begun putting the hexies together as I keep running out!

We have seen the grandies regularly outside. We meet them for a walk or a picnic which is fun. We are so lucky they live up the road!

Some stitching progress

Lovely to share a couple of finishes this time. I have been slowly working on my Stitch Therapy 365 quilt and it is now finished! I am very pleased with the finished quilt.

Adrienne has finished hers too. It looks amazing and she did such a fabulous job of the machine quilting.
I have been working on this tree skirt for most of this year and finally finished it. It was very hard knowing when to stop decorating the houses!!!

I bought a frame from Kmart for this little cross stitch.
Loved working on block 6 of The Santa, The tree..... BOM.
To finish off.....gorgeous Autumn colours!!!

Outings and a bit of stitching

This week was going to be a little quieter but it didn't end up being so. Mind you there was a bit of shopping, wrapping and cooking going on as well. On Sunday we went to the Carols night at Kingston. Pa does the sound every year and this year he had two very special helpers!
On Tuesday we minded the big boys and went with Alice and Mummy to the National Gallery. There is a new play space there that is great fun!

On Wednesday night we had a lovely dinner out with the Friday night stitchers at Wood and Coal in the city. The food was delicious.

We have a secret Santa and all the gifts were just lovely. I had to take a photo of the one Audrey made, as she has done so much beautiful stitching!
Some of us chose to share a dessert platter! It was amazing.
Not too much stitching has been happening here. I have slowly stitched this little cross stitch.
I made this decoration for part of my secret Santa gift for Wednesday night. It is a Marg Low pattern using a Theodora Cleave hand painted button.
So hard to know what to give little Jack for Christmas! With 2 big brothers their house is full of great toys! So here are another 2 t-shirts for him.
Only two more sleeps till Santa comes! Hope you all have a really wonderful Christmas and a restful break and thank you for continuing to visit my little blog.
