We were up very early on Sunday to leave the ship and head to the train to Anchorage. It was a lovely train trip. We shared the trip with our new friends from the ship, Kate and Shack.
When we arrived in Anchorage, we headed to the Anchorage markets. They were really nice markets with quite different goods. We enjoyed listening to this country band where all the members were very old!
We had halibut and chips for lunch and also shared a Russian piroshkie. It was all delicious.
We also went to the Anchorage Museum which was very good. I enjoyed seeing some of the native beading and crafts.
The next morning we headed to Denali National park on yet another train. It was a bit rainy but quite a pleasant trip with good commentary and lunch.
