Melbourne and Glenharrow

Fiona and I are home after a wonderful time in Melbourne. Our first stop after the flight was, of course, lunch. We DID NOT eat these cakes at the lovely little deli where we had delicious soup for lunch. These cakes looked so good I just had to take a picture of them. Across the road was AK Traditions. It was the most wonderful shop full of lovely wool, textiles, felt animals and so much more. I saw their stall at the Canberra Craft fair and it was a great chance to see the shop. We were not disappointed.
We had a quick visit to the outlets and then headed up to the Dandenongs to our B & B. It was a very chilly night! The next day we headed to Glenharrow for the Stitch in with Leanne Beasley and Rosalie Quinlan. It was so beautifully decorated and there was so much to see. Glenharrow is a rustic venue with so much atmosphere. Here are Rosalie's samples for her new book. It is being launched next week.
Here are the projects we were making at the day. Rosalie's is the house stitchery and Leanne's is the little stitching bag and needle bag.
Here are some of Rosalie's dolls decorating one of the corners.
I have taken so many pictures so will enjoy posting them over the next few weeks. Best rest now as our stitching day is tomorrow and we are ready.
