Barcelona continued

On Sunday 20 June, we went to look at the beach in Barcelona. We caught the bus which was packed! It is a bit of an eye opener with quite a few topless women and they weren't all young.

We then found a cute coffee shop for a drink and cake and then visited the Casa Vicens, one of Gaudi's first houses.

We had the big lunch again today which was way too much! So we then needed a rest before heading to Parc Guell in the evening. It was absolutely amazing!

The mosaics were so wonderful. We then caught a bus home, had to walk a way so just had a simple roll for dinner. On Sunday 11 June, we had a sleep in and then took the bus to the Gothic old town. We accidentally got off a stop early and discovered some cute lanes. We discovered the Basilica of Santa Maria Del Mar, which was built in the 1300s. It was beautiful and as it was noon, we stayed for part of the service.

We enjoyed seeing the painters and a band and dancers too.

We then went to the El Born Centre for Culture. It used to be a market but is now a museum mostly about the 1700s.

Had a light lunch and then a rest and headed out for tapas and a Sangria/beer later on.
