Uzes and Arles

On Saturday, 17th June, we stayed in Uzes as it was market day. It was an amazing market with so much yummy produce and clothing etc. The market was in the main square but also up and down nearby streets. We bought food for lunch and dinner to have in our apartment.

After our delicious lunch we went to the Medieval garden which was just behind our apartment.

We climbed the tower to see the view.

There was an amazing display of paintings by Margaret Early, in one of the rooms at the garden.

We had an iced coffee and then Penny and I checked out a little wool shop nearby. We had delicious dinner in the apartment that John cooked and enjoyed a fruit platter with icecream for dessert!
On Sunday, 18th June, we went to Arles and visited the theatre, the Amphitheatre, the St-Trophime Cloister, the Cryptopotique and the Eglise St-Trophime.

We were also very lucky to have lunch at the Bigouden at l'espace Van Gogh, where Vincent painted the garden. Delicious lunch of gallettes, dessert pancakes and cidre. We also saw the cafe that Van Gogh used to visit.

We also enjoyed a delicious milk shake before heading back to Uzes.
